Casting Out Fear

My mind has been thinking about fear and how thankful I am that we have the power to cast it away. When Tony lost his job we were able to function everyday with no fear or worry. God gave a confidence that HE would bring something our way. It was sweet to see our children have the same confidence. We have gone through many things while in the faith sickness, broken bones, financial trials and many others but each time, if we would lay it at HIS feet and leave it, there was so much peace and comfort. Fear does bring torment. Having fear causes you to play the "what if" game which typically brings more worry. It is a never ending cycle until you break it and leave it with God. I am just so thankful to have the spirit that comforts us, gives us strength when we are weak and pricks us from time to time. I am thankful to have the power to say "get thee behind me Satan" and he does. Don't sell that power short. It is a mighty power, a mighty power not received by all and not always used by those who have it.

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. "
